Renewals

Although the board sends out renewal notices as a courtesy, it is your responsibility to ensure that your registration is renewed before its expiry date.

Renewal registrations must be lodged at least 2 months before your registration expires to give the board time to process them.

Note, if you lodge your complete renewal application prior to the expiry date, your registration will continue in force until the Board has made a determination of the renewal application. For further information on continuity of registration you can refer to section 24EAA of the Building Act 1993.

Net assets certificate - individual and company

The applicant must have, and maintain for the entire duration of the registration, at least $50,000 in net tangible assets.

If the applicant is an individual, the NTA certificate must reflect the individual’s full name as the applicant, declaring that the individual has net assets of at least $50,000.

If the applicant is a corporation, the NTA certificate must reflect the applicant as the corporation name, declaring that the corporation has net assets of at least $50,000.
